What GOD has to Say

“But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives,
and he will stand upon the earth at last.
26 And after my body has decayed,
yet in my body I will see God!
27 I will see him for myself.
Yes, I will see him with my own eyes.
I am overwhelmed at the thought!
- Job 19 NLT

Job was accused by his friends of doing wrong because of the very tragic things that happened in his life. They concluded that Job must have done something wrong to deserve such punishments from GOD. But not every trial or trouble is a result of what we have done wrong and not everything bad that happens to us is GOD's hand of judgment upon us. Only GOD truly knows the intentions of the things happening around us, He knows the very purpose why we are where we are at a specific moment. So no one should look to his neighbor and conclude things why they are this or that. For knowledge and wisdom, purpose and power all belong to GOD and Him alone.

But with GOd's grace, Job didn't draw his strength from what other people had to say about or to him. Yet when his very own friends had judged and pointed fingers at him, Job chose to hope in the LORD and cling to the GOD who truly knows him. Job's hope was upon GOD and His glorious being revealed upon all the earth. Even when he is dying away, his faith broke forth amidst the darkness saying that he will see GOD for himself. He will see GOD and oh! that glorious day that Job will see GOD, he can only await with excitement. Are we as focused on GOD as Job was? We have to learn that we cannot depend on what people say about us or to us because they are fallible beings, we can only depend on what GOD has to say.
