The poor and the oppressor have this in common:
The Lord gives sight to the eyes of both.. - Proverbs 29:13
In life, we make plans, we prepare well and execute those plans. But there are just times when we don't anticipate the unexpected and life suddenly takes us to a course where we never even imagined would take us. A sudden death of a loved one. A retrenchment from employment. A fading away of a long time love resulting to a broken heart. A sudden change that will alter our lives inevitably. How do we cope???
Take time to mourn, to cry, to release all the hurts and pain. It's always wise to never keep things pent up inside and filled up in your heart especially when these are things that are negative and just bad.
Accept the situation. We will never move forward if we never accepted the reality of what has come to us whether good or bad. The first step to healing is accepting. Denying things will only delay whatever process that we have to go through in order to overcome situations. Our emotions are the first things we need to deal with when we want to move forward. We will know when we have accepted because the tears seem to dry up and we stopped feeling miserable and there's just a blank feeling. Then it's time for the next step.
Look for solutions. There is no solution to a broken heart but to take time to heal. We can either enjoy the things we still have and be thankful for it or find something to replace it especially if it's a job.
Make the best out of it. Try to understand why it happened and find the good of it's outcome. How did it affect your life in a better way? Always see things in the light. Do not focus on the negative but on the positive.
Both rich and poor have one thing in common, GOD has given them both sight. But it is only through eyes of faith that we are able to see things in GOD's perspective and GOD's perspective is always not just for the good but always for the best.
