30 “Go into that village over there,” he told them. “As you enter it, you will see a young donkey tied there that no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. 31 If anyone asks, ‘Why are you untying that colt?’ just say, ‘The Lord needs it.’”
32 So they went and found the colt, just as Jesus had said.33 And sure enough, as they were untying it, the owners asked them, “Why are you untying that colt?”
34 And the disciples simply replied, “The Lord needs it.” 35 So they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their garments over it for him to ride on.
38 “Blessings on the King who comes in the name of theLord!
Peace in heaven, and glory in highest heaven!”
39 But some of the Pharisees among the crowd said, “Teacher, rebuke your followers for saying things like that!”
40 He replied, “If they kept quiet, the stones along the road would burst into cheers!”
Message:
Untied for the purpose of being used for GOD's glory.
Observation:
We are all tied to things in life. Just as this donkey was tied to the fence, never been ridden, his owners thought he would never be ridden for all of his life. But when they untied this donkey for Yeshua to ride on, this donkey's life has changed, it was now a useful donkey that people could ride on.
Application:
Is there something you've never done in your life? Something that is useful to GOD and would give Him glory? If so then maybe it's time to allow change in your life. GOD can change your life in a moment just as GOD has changed this donkey's usefulness in a day. But first we have to be untied from the many things in life that has kept us from being useful to GOD as we ought to be. Just like this donkey we are meant to be used by GOD and to give Him glory.
