Deuteronomy 16-19
14 “You are about to enter the land the Lord your God is giving you. When you take it over and settle there, you may think, ‘We should select a king to rule over us like the other nations around us.’ 15 If this happens, be sure to select as king the man the Lord your God chooses. You must appoint a fellow Israelite; he may not be a foreigner.
19 He must always keep that copy with him and read it daily as long as he lives. That way he will learn to fear theLord his God by obeying all the terms of these instructions and decrees. 20 This regular reading will prevent him from becoming proud and acting as if he is above his fellow citizens. It will also prevent him from turning away from these commands in the smallest way. And it will ensure that he and his descendants will reign for many generations in Israel. - Deuteronomy 17
(He will give you this land if you are careful to obey all the commands I have given you—if you always love the Lord your God and walk in his ways.) 10 That way you will prevent the death of innocent people in the land the Lord your God is giving you as your special possession. You will not be held responsible for the death of innocent people.-Deuteronomy 19
Message/Observation/Promise:
The LORD has appointed many promises, an inheritance of land and His blessings to each of His children. He only requires us to be faithful to His word, following His ways. He has already given us all that we need to be able to receive the blessings of GOD, we only need to follow them and diligently seek His word day after day so that we are careful to obey everything He has told us to do.
Command/Application:
Select a leader that GOD has chosen. A leader could be your father, your husband, your pastor. Depending on your situation. He must be an Israelite - a man who belongs to GOD because GOD has chosen him. Make sure that this leader will read GOD's instructions daily that he may learn to fear the Lord His GOD, stay humble and prevent him by walking away from the ways of GOD by obeying everything GOD says we should do. Love the Lord Your God and walk in His ways that we may prevent the death of innocent people in the land that GOD is giving us.
Prayer:
Abba Yakar, You are the true and Sovereign GOD and you are good. Forgive us (my family) Lord of our pride and the many times we have sinned against you. Thank you for everything you allowed to happen in our lives because You promised that All things work together for good for those who love you and are called by Your purpose. Abba, I ask you Father, please heal us as a family and help us to make peace with what You have allowed to happen. Do not let anger take hold of us, pride or arrogance but help us to be humble before you O Lord. Heal our broken hearts because You are the great healer and the one who holds our lives. Thank you for giving us Cherrie to be our loyal member of the family and yesterday you have brought her to You safely. Thank you for all the precious memories we had with her. The pain is still great O Lord, and I do not know how I can handle more pain since this life is full of so much pain but help us to trust You. I pray for salvation for my loved one's family in Israel, may they all be saved by the greatest gift of love - Yeshua Ha Mashiach. I pray that they will seek you with all their hearts and find you O GOD. Let your glory shine forth not only to the Shtark family but to their relatives as well. Toda for saving Oren and I pray that you continue to work within him and pour into him Your Ruach Hakodesh. Fill us both with Your Spirit O GOD, and make our Spirits one with Yours that we may follow you in unity and as one.
ba Hashem Yeshua Ha Mashiach, Amen!
