Desperate Enough?

25 A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding. 26 She had suffered a great deal from many doctors, and over the years she had spent everything she had to pay them, but she had gotten no better. In fact, she had gotten worse. 27 She had heard about Jesus, so she came up behind him through the crowd and touched his robe. 28 For she thought to herself, “If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.” 29 Immediately the bleeding stopped, and she could feel in her body that she had been healed of her terrible condition... 33 Then the frightened woman, trembling at the realization of what had happened to her, came and fell to her knees in front of him and told him what she had done. 34 And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. Your suffering is over.”
- Mark 5

When you have suffered for 12 years for some kind of sickness that really made your life miserable, how would you deal with it? Would you complain everyday? Probably find ways to heal yourself in every way that you can. I believe you would come to a point where in you would be desperate to try anything! Was this woman desperate? Yes it is evident that she was. During those old days, the sickly were not allowed anywhere in public, in fact they were outcasted from society so that they should hide themselves in a secluded place.

But even as daring risky at it seems to be out there among the crowds, this woman was desperate enough to crawl her way into the people just to be able to touch the tip of Yeshua's clothes. Her desperation also made her believe that just one touch with Yeshua in any part of Him, would heal her. So she acted out according to her faith and went after Yeshua. And true enough, her faith was rewarded well when she received her healing as she touched the edge of His clothes. Are you desperate enough to be needing Yeshua so much??? If you have this kind of desperation, then even just a little bit of Him will certainly do you a lot. We can't experience GOD's miracle without a deep longing, or desire, hunger or thirst to be able to encounter Him, you got to have that earnest yearning.
