37 “When the Son of Man returns, it will be like it was in Noah’s day. 38 In those days before the flood, the people were enjoying banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat.39 People didn’t realize what was going to happen until the flood came and swept them all away. That is the way it will be when the Son of Man comes.
- Matthew 24
The day or hour of the LORD's return is what so many people await for, people like me. But most of us do not really wait for the LORD's day? Why? Because we love this world too much, we are enjoying the pleasures of life. But surely there's many troubles that we face on earth. Some of us more sensitive to GOD's Kingdom to finally take place on earth we cry out to GOD in the slightest injustice that is being done to us or to others. Those that know the LORD and want His perfect world to come to pass are those that await for that day or hour and keep watch for His return.
Are you one of those that await and keep watch? If you are watching, you will understand that as it was on the wicked days of Noah, the world is becoming as it was then. What was so terrible in Noah's day that made the LORD decide to destroy everything on earth except Noah, His family and the living creatures that came aboard Noah's ark? People were enjoying, drinking, partying, doing business, there's nothing wrong with enjoying, but enjoying without the fear or care of what GOD thinks is enjoying without boundaries. Therefore even when we enjoy we should also keep watch not only of the times but of ourselves, do we love this world more than we love GOD's coming Kingdom?
