1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
- Romans 5:1-5
Justice is the quality of being fair and right. It is hard to comprehend that even when we are proven wrong because we are sinners, we will be judged as right because we have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. This is just one of the great privileges that followers of Jesus can be assured of because this is the promise of GOD. When we have Jesus, we have everything that human eyes cannot see in the natural world. We look forward to the future even thought the world is falling apart. We can rejoice because the more we know this world is coming to an end, the greater the hope in our hearts that Jesus soon return is getting closer. But it is not easy to be a follower of Jesus in this present world. GOD never promised an easy life but a victorious one if we continue to trust, follow and remain in HIM.
Everyone in this world goes through trials and hardships, both the wicked and righteous alike. But the righteous, the one's who have Jesus can suffer with purpose when they go through trials and hardship because the word of GOD says we can glory in our sufferings. Sufferings will produce within us the capacity to endure trials, forming within us a character that is patterned after Jesus and because we know that our sufferings are with purpose, we have hope. Hope that the world can never understand unless they too will receive GOD's gracious gift of salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ. This is the light we we shine, this is how we become different from the world because we can glory in our sufferings. We are not hopeless in sufferings, we are glorious even in our sufferings through the Spirit of GOD that is working within us.
