7 Jesus said, “I will come and heal him.”
8 But the officer said, “Lord, I am not worthy to have you come into my home. Just say the word from where you are, and my servant will be healed. 9 I know this because I am under the authority of my superior officers, and I have authority over my soldiers. I only need to say, ‘Go,’ and they go, or ‘Come,’ and they come. And if I say to my slaves, ‘Do this,’ they do it.”
10 When Jesus heard this, he was amazed. Turning to those who were following him, he said, “I tell you the truth, I haven’t seen faith like this in all Israel!

- Matthew 8:7-10
Jesus was willing to go to anyone who had asked for His healing and grace. But there was a gentile but who had faith in GOD, came to Jesus in faith and asked for the healing of his servant. This man did not come to him concerning his own life or that of his loved ones but he came to Jesus concerning his servant's well being. Notice that this man was not a just any other common man but he had a position and authority in life. When he came to Jesus he did not only come in faith, but also in high regard and respect for authority. When Jesus told him he will come to heal his servant, his immediate reaction was humility. He knew he was a sinner and recognized that Jesus was no ordinary human being.
Are we like this man? Coming to Jesus in faith and high regard for his sovereign power and authority that when we ask in His name, we believe we receive what we have asked for. Many of us come to GOD but without faith, if we don't believe HE can do great things in the first place, it is useless to come to GOD. The miracles that GOD makes in our lives is dependent on our faith and how much we believe in HIM. Remeber this gentile man that impressed Jesus so much, Jesus applauded and praised his faith before man saying I've never seen anything like this kind of faith. This is the kind of child like faith we need to get to have whatever we ask for in prayer and enabling us to enter Heaven through Jesus.
