Appointment

16 Now get to your feet! For I have appeared to you to appoint you as my servant and witness. You are to tell the world what you have seen and what I will show you in the future.17 And I will rescue you from both your own people and the Gentiles. Yes, I am sending you to the Gentiles 18 to open their eyes, so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God. Then they will receive forgiveness for their sins and be given a place among God’s people, who are set apart by faith in me.
- Acts 26:17-18

We are all called by GOD, but few of us ever respond to that call. Why? Fear of what will happen to us. It is never easy to walk by faith especially for those who have everything more than most. It is easier to walk by faith when you have nothing to lose or when you already have nothing. But here is Paul, having a high position in their religious sect was called by GOD, appointed to be His servant and witness. God promises to rescue him and sends him to a specific people. HE chose to serve GOD which meant losing his high position in the religious sect, persecution by his own people, imprisonment and even death. But when GOD appoints us, He also anoints us to do the things He has called us to do. Anointing is the gift and the power to be able to do what we are called to do. Anointing will bring us many results and bear many fruits without it, we are working for nothing.

Has GOD appointed you? For sure, all of us are appointed to be where GOD has placed us. If you have the gift of teaching then you are appointed to be a teacher, or if you have the gift of leading, preaching, prophesying and etc, then GOD has appointed you to be so. But anointing only comes from GOD and we have to seek it form HIM. Most of the time, when GOD appoints us, when we discover that we have certain gifts or the moment HE appoints us, GOD also sends us the anointing to do what we have been appointed to do. But first we have to accept and respond to the call of GOD or HIS appointment in our lives. GOD will not work in you if you are not willing. But if you are willing to step out in faith and trust GOD with your life, then HE will do great and marvelous things through you, things you never thought of or imagined. There's a lot of risk involved when we chose to follow Yeshua, but rest assured that if you accept GOD's appointment for you, there is definitely no regret involved, only faith, strength, courage and a bright hope for HIS promise.
