in you I take refuge; don’t pour out my life.
9 Keep me from the trap they have set for me,
from the snares of evildoers.
10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets,
while I pass by in safety.
- Psalm 141:8-10
Having your eyes on certain things or people is your focus. Where is our focus? We can focus on making money, being successful, making a living, finishing a project and other so called important wordly things that have no lasting effects that will change our lives forever. When we focus on GOD, HE brings our attention to the needs around us that if we take certain action to a meet that need according to the leading or prompting of the Holy Spirit of GOD, we fulfill our purpose and bless others with what we do. GOD will be glorified when we obey His voice in our lives. But there are days when we feel we are being poured out, we don't feel secure or protected. We can take refuge in GOD, by asking HIS hands to shield us from whatever that may harm us.
Whether we believe it or not, admit it or not, we have an enemy out there that is set to destroy our lives, he is the enemy of GOD. Why does he come against us? Because we are God's precious creatures, he knows God loves the people HE created. This enemy who hates God hates the very beings that God has created and its purpose is to destroy whatever God loves. They plan and scheme to diminish our lives but we can always get away from such traps and trouble if we bring our attention to GOD's voice and our eyes to the focus on GOD. If our eyes are on Yeshua, we are sensitive to the needs of others that can have significant life long effects if we heed to GOD's voice. When we are listening and obeying GOD's command, the enemy will not be able to harm us or be successful with his plans against us. Do not live in carelessness, ignorance and laziness, pay attention to Your maker and you will live life to the fullest.
