Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen... But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Faith is believing things will happen that have not yet happened now, or is difficult to happen now. Faith is seeing the unseen, believing the unbelievable, expecting the unimaginable. Now this statement and act could really get a lot of us into trouble or make some of us the laughing stock of the entire world, especially when we claim to hear GOD's voice and hear him instruct us to do certain things which are usually outrageous. Imagine Mary who had suddenly became pregnant while still a virgin because GOD said the Holy Spirit has conceived in her womb the coming savior. Who would believe such a claim? At those times, she would have gotten into trouble and would have been stoned to death for a most promiscuous act.
To have faith is to believe something outrageous, expecting, waiting and preparing for what GOD said HE would do. To be able to have a relationship with GOD, one has to have this most essential element - faith. For how can we commune and be in a relationship with someone we do not even see or touch? Humanly speaking, it is very hard to put your trust on something you don't even see with your own eyes and feel with your own hands... For some people faith is an escape to the reality of life, or it can be a religion that one can devote themselves into pious and routine acts. For some faith is a positive feeling.
But Faith is more than that. And in this life, we can't just live without faith, for faith enables us to see beyond the unseen and sparks hope within us in the midst of a dark and hopeless world. It takes faith to persevere in a decision you know you believe is for you and not give up. It takes faith to believe in big dreams become a reality as long as you are doing practical ways to achieve it and not just day dream. It takes faith to do almost anything when everything in this world seems to pull you down, it takes faith to believe that everything will be okay when the world seems to be crumbling all around you because it takes faith to understand that Someone who is all powerful cares for you, thinks about you and even more love you. It takes faith.
