23 For last night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve stood beside me, 24 and he said, ‘Don’t be afraid, Paul, for you will surely stand trial before Caesar! What’s more, God in his goodness has granted safety to everyone sailing with you.’25 So take courage! For I believe God. It will be just as he said. 26 But we will be shipwrecked on an island.” - Acts 27
28 So I want you to know that this salvation from God has also been offered to the Gentiles, and they will accept it.”[i]
30 For the next two years, Paul lived in Rome at his own expense.[j] He welcomed all who visited him, 31 boldly proclaiming the Kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ. And no one tried to stop him. - Acts 28
Message:
Know your Purpose and be fulfilled in life.
Observation/Promise:
Paul knew his purpose, for GOD has constantly revealed it to him even in the depths of despair and troubles. It was trouble for Paul when the ship he was sailing was out of control because of the storm. But GOD did everything on purpose for the purpose of Paul's life was to glorify God wherever he goes. And if your plans are in line with GOD's purpose, your heart will always be satisfied in His promises because His promises are always in line with His purpose for your life. GOD has provided for Paul even when he lived in a prisoner way. How? God will always provide for you if you are walking in His purpose.
Application/Command:
Seek GOD and understand what He wants you to do on earth. Everyone of us has a purpose and generally it is always to glorify GOD. Paul was a radical person and devote in his religion even yet when he was not still a follower of Yeshua. But when He become an apostle of Yeshua, he did far crazier and greater things for the Messiah because this was His purpose. GOD created Paul to be a zealous being, zealous for his faith especially and now that Paul was walking with GOD, there was no stopping him, even when he lived in the confines of prison. But he was the only prisoner who lived freely. Our circumstances will not move us when we understand GOD's purpose for our life in every situation His purpose is the same.
