1The Lord kept his word and did for Sarah exactly what he had promised. 2 She became pregnant, and she gave birth to a son for Abraham in his old age. This happened at just the time God had said it would. 3 And Abraham named their son Isaac.4 Eight days after Isaac was born, Abraham circumcised him as God had commanded. 5 Abraham was 100 years old when Isaac was born.
6 And Sarah declared, “God has brought me laughter. All who hear about this will laugh with me. 7 Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse a baby? Yet I have given Abraham a son in his old age!” - Genesis 21
Message:
Every Promise that comes from GOD shall be fulfilled.
Observation/Promise:
GOD's word is filled with every promise. His Promises can be received by one who is seeking HIM. GOD is word Himself and HE created everything through the breath of His word. And when HE gives you a promise, it shall be fulfilled. HE causes the impossible to be made possible because He is the only GOD and He wants to reveal His glory to all the earth. Even the oldest woman on earth can still bear a son when GOD says she will bear a son, so it will be. He usually works in the impossible for if it was easy and possible, then there won't be any need for GOD to act, miracles come from GOD alone.
Application/Command:
Believe every promise that comes from GOD but how do you begin to believe if you have not received, and how do you receive if you have sought? First you need to seek GOD and His word and there HE will give His promises to you. You can be sure of this that any promise that comes from GOD shall be completed and fulfilled in HIS appointed times.
