Find Your Purpose - March 28, 2014

Scripture: Rev 18-22
3 I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them.[a] 4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”
5 And the one sitting on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new!” And then he said to me, “Write this down, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true.” 6 And he also said, “It is finished! I am the Alpha and the Omega—the Beginning and the End. To all who are thirsty I will give freely from the springs of the water of life. 7 All who are victorious will inherit all these blessings, and I will be their God, and they will be my children. - Rev 21
12 “Look, I am coming soon, bringing my reward with me to repay all people according to their deeds. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.”
17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” Let anyone who hears this say, “Come.” Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life. - Rev 22

Message:
Everything will all come to an end, except the Word of GOD the endures forever.

Observation/Promise:
What are we living for? Are we living for ourselves building our own Kingdom? No matter what we do in life, if they have not been appointed by GOD, it will all be in vain. Even riches prove to be in vain when in the hands of evil doers. But what is it that really matters in life? Is it our dreams and ambitions? What matters is simply our relationship with our creator. We have to go back to the one who created us and ask, what is my purpose? What do you want me to do on earth? When you start living your purpose which is first of all loving and worshipping the creator, you will find meaning and be assured that in the end of life, you will gain even more than what you have gained on earth.

Application/Command:
Live for GOD, do not merely see your life as your own because you were created by an uncreated Being for a specific purpose and role. One day we will all face Him and what can we say when our lives are being accounted for by HIM? Remember that you are created for a purpose, first of all the love and worship GOD, the rest of that can be known by seeking the will of GOD for your life. It is only in Him that you are able to find meaning and fulfillment.
