Scripture: Deuteronomy 32-34
4 He is the Rock; his deeds are perfect. Everything he does is just and fair.
He is a faithful God who does no wrong; how just and upright he is!4
21 They have roused my jealousy by worshiping things that are not God;
they have provoked my anger with their useless idols.
Now I will rouse their jealousy through people who are not even a people;
I will provoke their anger through the foolish Gentiles.
Message:
The Lord's Anger burns against the unfaithful, rebellious and disobedient.
Observation/Promise:
God's ways are perfect, there is no wrong in Him. Isn't it wonderful that there is somebody perfect whom we can look to for justice, for perfection, for holiness, for everything we ever need. Looking to His perfection, His glory will make us a little more and more like Him. When GOD calls us to walk with Him, we slowly become like Him, but when He calls us, we have to respond with our hearts and not with our minds, not half heartedly, for a half hearted response is what He despise. He wants to mold us into His perfect will, it is our task to obey.
Command/Application:
We ought to regard the Lord as a High Being worthy of the highest respect and reverent fear. When we understand His Holiness, we will fear Him in a right way and not take His grace and mercy for granted. We will love Him with all our hearts when we know who He truly is. It is important to love GOD but it is equally important to fear Him.
