Committing Your Whole Heart

11 The Lord replied, I will take care of you, Jeremiah.
Your enemies will ask you to plead on their behalf
in times of trouble and distress.
12 Can a man break a bar of iron from the north, or a bar of bronze?
13 At no cost to them, I will hand over your wealth and treasures
as plunder to your enemies, for sin runs rampant in your land.
14 I will tell your enemies to take you as captives to a foreign land.
For my anger blazes like a fire that will burn forever.
-Jeremiah 15

This was a terrible time in Israel. A time where GOD was already planning their punishment and his fist ready to unleash great judgements for their sins. Israel has been unfaithful and the LORD has waited for the right time to deal with them as they deserved. But as for those that belonged to GOD and has been faithful to HIM, such as Jeremiah, GOD has promised security. GOD Himself spoke tender words to Jeremiah saying He will take care of Jeremiah. And even in the midst of terrible trouble coming up on the land and people of Israel, Jeremiah will be kept safe and will have favor from GOD.

Even if Jeremiah will be swept by the waves of judgement towards his people, he will not harmed by his enemies. Yes he will feel and see the suffering of his people, but he will be safe in GOD's hands because the LORD has promised to protect him. Are you in the midst of a place where you know GOD's hand is about to strike judgement and reveal His power? Do not fear, but plead for GOD's mercy. HE will show you great things, HE will be your constant ally and even if things seem hopeless, the GOD of Heavens will never forsake you and will shield you like GOD has shielded Jeremiah. Do not be one like the rest of this world, move as one with GOD's heart and set yourself apart from the others and commit your whole heart to the LORD. If you set yourself apart for the LORD, He will set you apart from destruction.
