2 Basic Rules

29 Jesus replied, “The most important commandment is this: ‘Listen, O Israel! The Lord our God is the one and only Lord. 30 And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’ 31 The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’No other commandment is greater than these.”32 The teacher of religious law replied, “Well said, Teacher. You have spoken the truth by saying that there is only one God and no other. 33 And I know it is important to love him with all my heart and all my understanding and all my strength, and to love my neighbor as myself. This is more important than to offer all of the burnt offerings and sacrifices required in the law.”

34 Realizing how much the man understood, Jesus said to him, “You are not far from the Kingdom of God.” And after that, no one dared to ask him any more questions.

The LORD Yeshua Himself has declared that the LORD GOD is one. So why is there such a thing as Trinity? The word Trinity is not found in the Bible, but trinity is a word that describes the personality of GOD. Yes GOD is one, and He is 3 persons but HE is only one. We do not have to be confused that there is only one GOD on earth and two of the things He requires which are the most important commandment is to love Him with all that we are. Not half hearted, not pretending to follow His orders but deep inside resenting them. For when we love GOD with all of our hearts, we are able to love others as well. 

The teacher of religious law who understood what Yeshua said and even praised Yeshua for  it, was someone who not just taught the law but someone who truly took the law and put it in his heart. There are 10 commandments that Moses wrote long ago. But the summary of the 10 comprises of only two. Simplified into two basic things that people need to understand with their hearts and not memorize with their minds acting like a robot in obedience to it. To love GOD and to love others will enable anyone to already fulfill the 10 commandments that GOD had written through Moses. For when we love GOD and love others, we do not sin against or do wrong to our neighbors when we love GOD first. For it is impossible to love GOD and not love others as well. GOD's love is so great, it will overflow in our hearts causing us to have compassion, love and reach out other people who don't have GOD.
