Cling and Don't let go

24 This left Jacob all alone in the camp, and a man came and wrestled with him until the dawn began to break. 25 When the man saw that he would not win the match, he touched Jacob’s hip and wrenched it out of its socket. 26 Then the man said, “Let me go, for the dawn is breaking!”
But Jacob said, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.”
27 “What is your name?” the man asked.
He replied, “Jacob.”
28 “Your name will no longer be Jacob,” the man told him. “From now on you will be called Israel, because you have fought with God and with men and have won.”

- Genesis 32

GOD is there in the most time when we are alone. The world surrounds us with too much noise but when we take time to be alone, GOD draws near to be with us. And in our tough times we come to GOD asking HIM for something impossible, something hard that we know only GOD could ever change and make possible. When we come to GOD in this way, we wrestle with HIM. GOD will not give anything simply when we ask the first time. Sometimes, we need to prove to GOD how much we need or want what we are asking for so that when we have it, we will not take for granted that it is GOD who has given it.

When we persevere and not give up on what we need from GOD, we will have whatever we so ask in prayer. Most of the time, our prayers are not answered quickly as we want. But we should not give up praying, but press on with our prayers to GOD. We move GOD's heart to action especially when we are desperate for HIS response and HIS power to move in our lives. When we pray, let us believe, when we believe, we should not give up, because GOD sees our hearts and one day we can break free from every struggle when we cling to GOD and not let go until HE gives us what we have asked for.
