Approved by GOD

21 Hanokh lived sixty-five years and fathered Metushelach. 22 After Metushelach was born, Hanokh walked with God 300 years and had sons and daughters. 23 In all, Hanokh lived 365 years. 24 Hanokh walked with God, and then he wasn’t there, because God took him.
- Genesis 5

Hanokh must have been one special person. What was so special about this man? Hanokh's life on earth has been short, shorter than the other men that lived during his time. Even the Bible only tells of Enoch's life very briefly. But this man's life is such an inspiration for he walked with GOD for those years and had other sons and daughters. But the most important part was that he walked with GOD for 300 years and afterwards he was gone all of a sudden. No trace of his body was found because GOD had took him to be with HIM. Hanokh bore a son at a younger age than most men who had sons in during that time. Could this be the reason why he was a little different from the men of his time?
It is possible that this could have altered the way he looked at life and himself.

When we are in an extra-ordinary situation in life, or when we are more different than what others are usually in our time, we stand out, sometimes we become isolated and this is not a pleasant thing. But being different could be a good thing because it allows us to find our belongingness in GOD. When we don't fit in, we try to look for a place where we feel safe and we don't have to feel left out. We find and if we are wise, we have to find ourselves in GOD because HIS love is the only place we can be ourselves with and we don't have to feel bad about it. Hanokh's circumstance may have set him apart and made him different from everybody else, but it brought greater good to him than bad because it made him walk with GOD all those years until GOD wanted to take him and suddenly Hanokh was home with the LORD without even have to experience death. Hanokh was a man approved by GOD and people may not have known that he was until GOD took him.
