- 1 John 2:15-17
What are the things that composes this world that we should not love it? The world can offer us happiness through the things we get from work. This world can give us happiness through riches, through the things we can buy. But whatever the world this offers is not meant to last forever. This world offers only what is temporary and that is why we should not love the world or it's temporary pleasures because it will not last. What is eternal are the most important things, and eternal things are usually things that are not physical, what we can't see. Eternal things are seen by GOD but cannot be seen by the naked eye, rather is felt in the human heart. This are the most important things that will last forever, they are also called Spiritual things.
It is important to work, to plan and to achieve, to make the best out of the one life that GOD has given us. But more than achievements, more valuable than money are things that pleases GOD which are faith, hope and love. These are the things that pleases GOD, these things you cannot find in the world but you can only find in the deep places of the heart and in the Spirit where the human eye cannot see, but can only feel with their heart. So chose now which to live for, what to desire, what you decide to do with your time on earth. For this will determine wherever we are going in the life after. This world you can't offer eternal life, only JESUS the Messiah can. What will you love then? This world that you live in for now? Or GOD who gave you life, offers you eternal life and even more!
